Morocco has a warm subtropical climate. Inland, it gets quite cold during the winter, but in summer it's very hot.

Essaouira is an Atlantic city with all the characteristics of an North African Atlantic climate; warm air, humidity and high average temperatures.

We get mild winters with temperatures of around 15/16 ºC. In August, temperatures will be on average between 22 - 25 ºC. The annual rainfall is 280 mm.

The best part of the day is between seven in the afternoon and nine o'clock at night. When the sun fades and the heat dimishes, the streets, gardens and terraces fill up with people (children an adults) all out to enjoy the soft, balmy sunlight.
